FACT: I'm not going to read 50 books this year.

FACT: I am going to read some books this year.

RESOLVED: I will abandon the 50 books project, but will continue to review books here.

RESOLVED: Since I've been reading a lot of 33 1/3 books, I will talk about their pros and cons on the Shoot Out The Lights blog, where 33 1/3 books are of interest.

UNDER CONSIDERATION: Moving the music library posts to their own blog. Not quite sure whether it will be worth it, although the project has been fun so far (and needs updating).

You puss. I've read 11 this year, so I should hit 50 I hope. I think I only read about 16 last year though. I've made an effort to turn the TV off mostly the last few months.

Hey, Hatch! See, I've been turning the TV on more. Partially because I'm lazy, and partially because my Tivo is stocked with good movies, some of which I haven't seen.

Also, I don't know if I've mentioned it here, but I'm working on a crappy novel no one in their right mind will ever want to read. That takes time, and for what, I ask you?

I think you should keep the 33 1/3 books & music library here. I'm lazy too & making me track them down somewhere else means I probably won't read. And that would be sad because I like reading your take on things.

I keep reading but can't seem to make myself write about them. That remains on the agenda, though. Ditto for the 101 Things to do in 1001 Days Project. The hold-up? Doing the list, of course. I've actually done a few of the things I planned to put on the list. And, like the 50 books thing, I feel totally comfortable with doing the list retroactively. The paperwork usually gets done last, right?

I just finished reading American Psycho. It was probably one of the most difficult reads I've done in a while and I had to read it a few chapters at a time. Honestly, I didn't really enjoy it. I did enjoy Less Than Zero when I read it 20 years ago, but the mindless babble in this book was just too much for me.

Hey, Joe! I think I'll keep everything here and do the 33 1/3 books a little differently over there. I'll be more personal here.

Hatch, man, I can't stand that Brett Easton Ellis guy at all. Blergh, I say, vaguely remembering American Psycho and my strong desire to fling that book across the room with force.
